Why VeloAI
Ordinary navigation apps often send road and gravel riders onto busy roads, rough asphalt or very steep climbs. VeloAI was made to change that: tell it where you start, how far you want to ride, how much climbing and what terrain you prefer, and it gives you 3 routes on real roads.
How we work
VeloAI is an independent project, built and run by Luca Remiddi. Routes use open OpenStreetMap data and the OpenRouteService; weather is from Open-Meteo; the route explanations are written with the help of an artificial intelligence model.
What you should know
The safety level is an estimate based on map data (road type, surface), not real traffic. Maps can be incomplete or out of date: always watch the road, follow traffic rules and check the weather before you leave.
